1. If you are over 40 years old you will likely need reading glasses for all near work, eating meals, and computer work, even if you see fine up close right now.
   
   
2. A high percentage of patients complain of glare and haloes at night after having surgery. This diminishes as the eyes heal, but, in some cases, can be a permanent complication.
   
   
3. A small percentage of patients end up with a final visual acuity level that is worse than what they were able to achieve with their glasses or contact lenses before laser vision correction.
